Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: February 18, 2026

1. Our Commitment

DoodleWerks LLC is committed to ensuring that its website, doodlewerks.io, is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information about our company, services, and products, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access the web.

As a veteran-owned technology company, we take our responsibility to the broader community seriously — including accessibility. We actively work to identify and address barriers that may prevent users from accessing our content.

2. Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use:

  • Screen readers and other assistive technologies
  • Keyboard-only navigation (no mouse)
  • Voice control software
  • Screen magnification tools
  • High-contrast display modes
  • Reduced-motion preferences

WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance is also consistent with the accessibility requirements referenced in Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as applied to websites and web-based content.

3. Measures Taken

To support accessibility on this site, we have taken the following measures:

  • Semantic HTML: Pages use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions (header, main, footer, nav), and meaningful HTML elements to provide structure understandable by assistive technologies.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — links, buttons, and navigation — are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone. A "Skip to content" link appears at the top of each page to allow keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation.
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
  • Alternative text: Images that convey information include descriptive alternative text attributes. Decorative images are marked appropriately so they are ignored by assistive technologies.
  • Responsive design: The site is fully responsive and functions correctly at a range of viewport sizes, including when text is enlarged up to 200% via browser zoom.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements so keyboard and assistive-technology users can track their position on the page.
  • ARIA attributes: Where native HTML semantics are insufficient, ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles and attributes are used to convey additional context to assistive technologies.
  • Reduced motion: Animations and transitions respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query to minimize discomfort for users sensitive to motion.
  • Link text: Links are written with descriptive text that makes sense in context, without relying on "click here" or other ambiguous phrases.

4. Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we acknowledge the following known limitations:

  • Third-party content: This site may link to or embed content from third-party services (such as external websites or embedded maps). We do not control the accessibility of third-party content, and such content may not meet our accessibility standards.
  • Older content: Some legacy documents or materials linked from this site may not yet meet current accessibility standards. We are working to update or replace these resources over time.
  • PDF and document files: Any downloadable documents (e.g., PDFs or presentations) may not be fully accessible. If you need an accessible version of any document, please contact us and we will do our best to provide one.

We are committed to continuous improvement and regularly review our site for accessibility issues.

5. Feedback and Contact

We will work with you to provide the information or assistance you need in a timely manner.

7. Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is not a one-time project — it is an ongoing commitment. We conduct periodic reviews of this site to identify and remediate accessibility issues. When we redesign or update pages, accessibility considerations are incorporated from the start.

We are committed to maintaining and improving the accessibility of this site in accordance with evolving standards and best practices.
